While Serenity Knoll Farm's owner, David, purchased the beautiful Washington County property in 2000, it wasn't until 2012 when construction began on the pavilion and 2013 when it was completed. The pavilion was built with the intention of hosting contra dances and various other events, all with a gorgeous view and great company.
The Farm's industrial kitchen was added on in 2015-2016, making it an entire inclusive event venue complete with its own produce, flowers, herbs, and fruit. Serenity Knoll Farm has held contra dances and various events since 2013 and added on cooking classes for all levels in the spring of 2018.
Serenity Knoll Farm is also a Certified Naturally Grown Farm, and we grow produce that we use in-house for cooking classes, catering, and events, and occasionally give our attendees to take home to try the recipes from classes on their own. Coming in 2019: a produce farm stand for all cooking class guests to purchase fresh produce whenever they attend a class!
The vision is that Serenity Knoll Farm will be a place to foster community through dance and food education.
